I think that fear, political correctness, selfishness, high privacy settings, an online-screen-obsessed culture, and a misapplication of independence has put too much distance between us. We need to look out for each other’s babies and marriages and homes and hearts. We need to reconnect with our delicate humanity.
First of all, I just want you to know that I’m on to you. Evidently you are declaring war. You’ve thrown down the gauntlet. You’ve made your intentions of being a repeat offender very clear.
I don’t know about you, but at times in my life I’ve totally been guilty of measuring other people’s pain against my own. I’ve judged others, thinking to myself they have no clue what real pain is. How do we become so prideful?
God promises to take us from glory to glory (2 Cor 3:18) and to teach us line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little bit, there a little bit (Isaiah 28:10), so I’m not sure why I’m surprised every time my faith gets an overhaul.
