Regardless of our politics, I’m sure we can agree on this one thing: this past election was unlike any election that has even taken place before in the United States. I believe it’s because this is a significant time spiritually in the history of our great nation and our world. God is doing something massive.

I hope we can also agree that President Trump needs our prayers and that God desires His people to honor and pray for their leaders according to these bible verses:

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. –1 Timothy 2:1-4 

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. – Romans 13:1 

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. –2 Chronicles 7:14 

Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor. –1 Peter 2:17 

Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding…” –Daniel 2:20-21 

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. –Proverbs 21:1

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. –Titus 3:1-2

For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. –Psalm 22:28 

In obedience to the Word of God, I would love to pray with you today. Let’s lift up President Trump, his family, and our nation:

Lord, today I lift up to you President Trump, the leader you have appointed and established over the United States of America. I pray that you would, above all, lead him daily to you, Lord. I pray that he would have humility and the fear of God before you. I speak righteousness over him, and I pray that he and his family would pursue the one true God. I pray salvation over the entire Trump household and extended family. I pray a spirit of repentance over him so that he may most clearly hear your voice and obey your Word. I pray that President Trump would seek You for every decision he makes whether personal or governmental. I come against every attack of the enemy that would lead our president to choose anything other than the Word and truth of God. I ask that you, Lord, would speak to him and through him, guide him, minister to him, and protect him, in Jesus’ name.

I plead the blood of Jesus over President Trump and our nation. I ask that you would heal our land and lead us in the way everlasting. I pray down fire from heaven to cleanse us, heal us, burn away all sin, and bring a spirit of repentance and holiness to the United States of America. I ask that you would reveal yourself to your people. I pray, Lord, that you would reveal yourself to our president. Restrain him when he needs to be restrained, encourage him when he needs to be encouraged, empower him when he needs to be empowered, in the name of Jesus.

Lord I pray for Donald Trump’s health—that your healing hand would remain upon him. I speak to his body and command perfect health over it according to the Word of God.  I pray for his family—that you would protect them, provide for everything they need, and prepare them for every aspect of this season in their lives. Lord, send each and every one of them people they can relate to and receive from who love you first in their lives. Send anointed and God-fearing leaders to advise him and remove every hindrance from him hearing their Godly counsel, in Jesus’ name.

Satan I command you to release every part of President Trump, his life, and his family, in the name of Jesus. I cancel any pre-attack and I cancel any counterattack by the enemy and render void and useless any weapon formed against him, designed for deception or destruction.

Host of Heaven, I command you to go out right now and tear down every stronghold over President Trump, the United States Presidency, and the city of Washington DC. Foil the enemy’s efforts, expose his plots and plans, and reveal all truth in Jesus’ name.
