Every year the same thing happens to me! December rolls around and the pressure is on. I AM desperate for thoughtful, budget friendly gift ideas for family and friends. It can be so hard to get creative when you’re coming down to the wire and you’re juggling ALL THE (Holiday) THINGS! So this year, I did my homework and I thought I would pass on my notes to you! Here are 15 gift ideas to help you knock out your gift-giving list in a flash. BAM.
Salt plate

1. For the cook in your life, a Himalayan Sea Salt Plate is sure to be a winner of a choice. You grill food directly on the salt plate surface for a wonderful seasoning experience.

War Room DVD

2.  War Room starring Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore on DVD is a great choice for someone who loves prayer, bible study, or Christian movies.

3. These types of gifts are REALLY picking up some steam and it’s no wonder why! Several amazing companies have created a subscription service for various gift boxes! You can give the gift that keeps on giving, so to speak, by ordering multiple months of these boxes to go out to a friend of family member. Another BONUS— in some instances they don’t have to all be a paid for up front—so you can spread out the financial demand on the holiday!

Birchbox is cosmetics, beauty, personal care:

Birchbox
BarkBox for the person who’s obsessed with their dog:

Barkbox

NatureBox for the health-nut!

Moscow mule mug2

4. Old & Urban Moscow Mule Mugs  are super trendy drink-ware that is sure to please any friend or family member whether they drink iced tea or something more adult. They are the new thing… stand back mason jars! (Sort of…)

Charming Charlies plaid scarf5. A Scarf is always a crowd pleaser because no woman can EVER have too many!  (HINT: This year you can’t go wrong with Plaid!)

My favorite place to get them is Charming Charlies but Target won’t ever let you down, either.

ON plaid bottoms26. My sister and I have a 10 year+ tradition of getting each other Cozy Sleep Pants because THEY ROCK. This is perhaps a more intimate type gift, but such an appreciated one! Our favorite selection is ALWAYS Old Navy!

Again… You CANNOT go wrong with plaid. And if they hate plaid, oops, sorry! 🙂

For the love7. For the friend that’s the reader— a copy of Jen Hatmaker’s “For the Love” will be thoroughly enjoyed! She’ll laugh, she’ll cry, she’ll grow.

Cuddle with my cat8. A new clothing company called Today’s Mood was launched recently by the fabulous Sandi Krakowski (you may know her as the lady with the pink hair!). They sell adorable clothes with WONDERFUL tag lines on them. I personally know at least SIX people who would lose their minds over this shirt

9. One of my All Time Favorite go-tos when I’m on a tight budget is DIY Mason Jar gifts! This is a great set of examples to give you ideas!
10. Have you seen these yet??? My family has been hand-making and hand-painting signs from Reclaimed Wood! There are several styles available. These are great for anyone with a farm house decor, who likes rustic signage, or loves reclaimed/recycled materials (and JESUS!)!

Rock lamp13. A beautiful gift for the person who LOVES health and wellness is a Natural Himalayan Rock Lamp. They make an attractive and soothing home decor piece and they also purify the air.

RHPResizePoster14. GREAT FOR MEN & TEENS: Return to the Hiding Place on DVD
The Christian Heroine from World War 2, Corrie ten Boom, is a beloved Saint that many of us read about in our childhood. You may remember her autobiography (or the Billy Graham film from the 1970s) called “The Hiding Place” which showed us the behind the scenes operation of how her family rescued and hid Jews from the Nazis by the 100s. There is now a NEW movie on the subject which focuses on the story of the teenage resistance leaders who risked their lives and helped the Ten Booms hide Jews.

15. Know someone who is a minimalist and doesn’t like STUFF, but you want to show them you love them with a gift? Make a donation in their name! If you know their favorite charity, awesome! Go with that! Otherwise here is a list of a few that I like:

Children’s Hunger Fund

is a faith-based organization that takes food and the gospel to impoverished people both in the US and abroad. What I LOVE about them is that they don’t just take a meal and a tract and say ‘buh-bye.’ They actually build meaningful relationships with people and take repeated boxes of food to the same household. Then they connect them with a local church, help them find work, and lead the entire family to a healthier place physically, financially and spiritually. They are also one of THE MOST efficient non-profits that exist today.

Wear Orange Campaign

is an underground Resistance movement attached to the fine people who produced Return to the Hiding Place.  They are generating fund to help Save Christians who are in constant danger over in the Middle East.

Got more great ideas??! PLEASE share them in the comments! Always looking for suggestions.
